Kyrgyzstan’s President set to visit Russia for CIS summit

BISHKEK: Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov is set to visit Russia's Moscow on October 7-8 to attend the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS. Head of Foreign Policy at the Kyrgyz President's Office Muratbek Azymbakiev confirmed the visit, Trend reports via the presidential press service. "The meeting will take place on October 8 and is expected to address significant issues related to the expansion and strengthening of cooperation among CIS member states across various sectors, including trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian initiatives," Azymbakiev said. The summit will lead to significant resolutions focused on enhancing cooperation in trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian efforts among member states of the CIS. "The meeting will see participation from the heads of state of the CIS," Azymbakiev added. Source: Trend News Agency
