MarkHack 2.0: Top 5 Finalists To Undergo 3-Month Incubation Programme, $50,000 Seed Capital

The finalists who made it to the top five in MarkHack 2.0 will have the opportunity to undergo a 3-month incubation programme at the prestigious Eko Innovation Center.

Additionally, they will be awarded a seed capital of USD 50,000 upon completion of the programme.

During the grand finale of MarkHack in Lagos, Nigeria, Victor Afolabi, the curator of MarkHack and Founder of Eko Innovation Center and Art of Technology Lagos, revealed this.

The event spanned three months of innovative pitch sessions, workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship sessions, all designed to help participants develop their skills and provide the necessary resources to transform their ideas into market-ready products. The winner of MarkHack 2.0 was Aremu, whose innovative robo-marketing tool helps businesses run experiments to enhance their product metrics and conversion rates.

The other finalists will also receive valuable benefits, including mentorship and access to free working space at the Eko Innovation Center, along with consolation prizes.

Ozi, a web application that enables businesses to acquire, engage, and manage customer conversions from one platform, secured the first runner-up position and received a prize of $3,000. Zander, a web-enabled and user-customized response AI tool for automating social media marketing and brand campaign processes, emerged as the second runner-up, earning a prize of $2,000.

Tosin Adelowo, co-founder of Aremu, expressed gratitude for the win, stating that it validates the immense potential of Nigeria’s creative sector.
