On November 26, 2019 Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Ismatullo Nasredin called on Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal.
Welcoming representative of Tajikistan, General Muhammad Afzal reminds his visit to Dushanbe in September 2019 with satisfaction and good impressions.
Ambassador of Tajikistan expressed thankfulness for the invitation of ? group from Committee on Emergency Situations and Civil Defence under the Government of Tajikistan to Pakistan for training courses and noted necessity to widen cooperation between countries on prevention and elimination of consequences of natural disasters.
During the meeting General Muhammad Afzal proposed regional cooperation for addressing effects of natural disasters and providing joint assistance.
The sides also discussed the status of consideration of bilateral document on cooperation in the sphere of prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations.
