On 22 November 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, who is in Tajikistan on an official visit.
The parties discussed the issues of the development of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the EU and their prospects in the political, economic, security, environment, as well as in humanitarian areas.
A constructive dialogue took place on the issues related to security and stability in the region, especially the situation in Afghanistan, threats of terrorism and extremism, matters of international agenda, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
