On November 18, 2022, in the city of Samarkand, on the sidelines of the 18th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union and the Connectivity Conference of the European Union and Central Asia: “Global Gateway” for Sustainable Development, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
During the meeting, issues of strengthening and expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union as well as the implementation of joint socio-economic projects were discussed.
A fruitful discussion also took place on matters related to security and stability in the region, the situation in Afghanistan, the threat of terrorism and extremism, issues of the international agenda and other topics of mutual interest.
