Meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

On August 8, 2022, a meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Georgia Rustam Soli with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili was held in Tbilisi.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the pressing issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, commercial and economic sectors, water and energy, agriculture, transport, culture, tourism, as well as strengthening the legal basis and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Georgia.

The parties also paid attention to the topic of holding the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Georgia on trade and economic issues, which is planned this year in Tbilisi. It was emphasized that the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Georgia will open a new page in the commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation expansion in the fields of transport and communication, including air communication, were also raised.
