On August 9, 2022, the meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Georgia Rustam Soli with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilya Darchiashvili was held in Tbilisi.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation and prospects of bilateral relations, strengthening and expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and Georgia in the framework of commercial and economic, political, water and energy, cultural, humanitarian and tourism sectors. they also paid special attention to the strengthening of the contractual-legal basis and the prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

The parties also exchanged views on the upcoming political consultations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Georgia at the level of deputy ministers.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation expansion in the fields of transport and communication, including air communication, were also discussed.
