the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Inclusive Director of the Green Growth Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ambassador for Sustainable Development Mr. Rene van Hell in The Hague.
During the comprehensive consideration of the topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the importance of cooperation between the countries on the issues of the water agenda, where both countries are leading, was emphasized, welcoming the intention of the Dutch side to take an active part in the work of the upcoming Conference on water issues in Dushanbe.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan presented the invitation of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands H.E. Mr. Mark Rutte.
On the same day, in the city of Delft in the Netherlands, the Ambassador met with the Rector of the world-famous Delft Water Institute, Professor Eddie Moors.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the fruitful cooperation of the countries in promoting the water agenda and discussed specific aspects of the upcoming water conference in Dushanbe, organized within the framework of Tajikistan's global initiatives.
Professor E. Moors highly appreciated the role and activities of our country in promoting the water agenda and announced his intention to participate in the work of the Dushanbe Water Conference (June 2022) and New York Water Conference (March 2023).
