Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon sent a message of congratulations to the newly elected President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which reads as follows:
Dear Shavkat Miromonovich,
I am glad to send You my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of your convincing victory in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Your election to this high and, at the same time, very responsible post is an indisputable evidence of the broad support by the people of Uzbekistan of your chosen policy aimed at steady improvement of well-being of the population, further strengthening of peace, stability and harmony in the society.
In Tajikistan, you are recognized and your personality is highly respected as supporter of a consistent development of relations of friendship, good neighborliness and multifaceted cooperation between our countries.
