Participation of the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the signing and launch of a new UNODC Regional Program

On November 24, 2021 in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseinzoda took part in the signing ceremony of the new United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Central Asia (2022-2025).

Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseinzoda expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the Tajik authorities and UNODC in combating security threats, including international terrorism and extremism, organized and cybercrime, drug trafficking and human trafficking. He called the United Nations and its specialized agencies important in overcoming these negative phenomena, including through the provision of technical assistance.

The Deputy Foreign Minister expressed hope that the new United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Central Asia (2022-2025) will take into account the current situation and take effective coordinated measures to prevent and combat modern threats. .
