Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the 29th OSCE Ministerial Council

On 1 December 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the 29th Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), which commenced under the Polish Chairmanship in Lodz.

In his statement, Minister Muhriddin elaborated on the position of the Government of Tajikistan regarding key issues of cooperation within the OSCE three dimensions of comprehensive security approach – the politico-military, the economic-environmental and the human, and stressed the need to take joint measures to strengthen security in the OSCE area.

The Head of Tajik delegation expressed his vision on the challenges of the modern world, in particular the fight against terrorism and extremism, drug and arms trafficking, and climate change.
