PM Rasulzoda Attends Heads of CIS Government Council Meeting

DUSHANBE, Yesterday, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda attended a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) via video conference.
The meeting agenda included 15 issues relating to the cooperation of the CIS member states in the economic, transport, communication and energy sectors. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the field of education, tourism, sports, culture and youth exchanges.
The heads of delegations held a thorough exchange of views on the epidemiological situation arising from the spread of COVID-19.
They also agreed to coordinate efforts to reach mutually agreed approaches to tackle the effects of the pandemic.
In this context, the Statement of the Heads of Government of the CIS member states was adopted in connection with the spread of COVID-19.
The next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS will be held in November 2020 in Tashkent.
