PM Rasulzoda Meets with WHO Representatives and Head of UN Office in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, Yesterday the Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda met with the representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the head of the United Nations Office in Tajikistan.
“Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, the Tajik government has been taking the necessary measures to prevent the spread of this disease, and has been strengthening cooperation in this area with regional and international organizations, including the WHO, UN and other countries. Unfortunately, COVID-19 cases have also been confirmed in Tajikistan and their number is growing,” said Rasulzoda.
The parties considered necessary the methods proposed by health professionals and stressed that every effort will be made to prevent the spread of the virus in Tajikistan.
Rasulzoda also called on the UN envoy and WHO representatives to assist in attracting practical foreign assistance from regional and international organizations and countries to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Tajikistan.
