On July 27, 2021, the first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain was held in virtual form. The delegations were led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Khusrav Noziri and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmad Ali Khalifa.
The current state and prospects of expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Bahrain in the political, economic, trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, air communication, strengthening the legal framework, cooperation in the framework of international and regional organizations and other issues were discussed at the consultations. .
The two sides stressed the importance of high-level contacts and exchange of visits in the development of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the need for the establishment of the first Joint Intergovernmental Commission and the expansion of cooperation in various fields.
