President Rahmon Commissions New Plasterboard Plant in Yovon District.

Yovon: President Emomali Rahmon participated in a significant ceremony to commission the Fayzi Gaj plasterboard production plant in Yovon district, marking an important step in the industrialization of Tajikistan. According to National information Agency of Tajikistan, the plant, constructed by local businessman Faizalizoda Sherali, was built over more than a year following the directives of President Rahmon. This initiative is part of the broader activities dedicated to celebrating the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's State Independence. During the visit, President Rahmon was informed about the plant's operation, which runs in three shifts and focuses on producing plasterboard and construction plasters. The facility, located in the Industrial Zone of Yovon district, can produce over 500 thousand square meters of plasterboard annually, with plans to double this capacity. The project has created well-paid employment for 45 local residents and involved an investment of over 24 million somoni. President Rahm on emphasized the importance of supporting local businesses and urged attention to production volume, product quality, and competitiveness. He also highlighted the necessity of adhering to market standards and export norms. The plant's construction aligns with the country's rapid industrialization goals and the 2021-2026 period marked as the "Years of Industrial Development" in Tajikistan. The Fayzi Gaj plant boasts advanced equipment and modern technological lines, producing plasterboard to international standards. Its laboratory ensures product quality, with 70% of the materials sourced locally. The plant currently produces plasterboard in various sizes, with future plans to introduce moisture- and heat-resistant variants. Since its inception in 2014, Fayzi Gaj LLC has expanded its product range to 27 types of construction materials, contributing significantly to exports. President Rahmon thanked the businessman for his role in the country's industrialization and advised on the importance of training spec ialists abroad and expanding social initiatives. The company operates on a 2.7-hectare site, contributing to the region's development and supporting national celebrations of independence.
