Our meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto have traditionally been held in an atmosphere of friendship, creativity and mutual understanding. We discussed bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation today.
The next political consultations between Tajikistan and Hungary have been held recently.
Following the political consultations, we signed a program of cooperation between the political authorities of the two countries for 2022-2024.
We exchanged views on the current state of integration of Kovid-19 and the joint struggle, and discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, environmental, tourism, scientific and cultural, health and sports. We expressed mutual interest in improving the legal framework in order to expand the content of the multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and Hungary.
It was decided to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Hungary in 2022 and to hold scientific and cultural events in this regard.
The issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union have also been considered during the meeting.
During the discussion of bilateral relations in multilateral format, we expressed satisfaction with the cooperation and coordination of positions in the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations in the field of water, the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Within the framework of this visit, meetings of my Hungarian counterpart are planned in the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and the Prosecutor General’s Office and the signing of several documents.
The opening ceremony of the office of the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Tajikistan is expected in the afternoon.
It should also be noted that this morning a business forum was held with the participation of Tajik and Hungarian entrepreneurs.
We also stressed the need for further cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations.
