Public Organization “Olympians of Tajikistan” Was Created

Yesterday, the first conference of the Public Organization “Olympians of Tajikistan” was held at the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

The conference was attended by 11 participants of the Olympic Games, and the Secretary General of the NOC Abdullozoda Muhammadsho.

Until now the Association of Olympians of Tajikistan has operated under the NOC, and on the recommendation of the World Olympians Association, a decision was made to create a separate organization of Olympians.

The participants discussed and approved the charter and logo of the organization.

Also, with the support of the conference participants, the Director General of the NOC, the winner of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Mavzuna Chorieva, was elected the head of the Public Organization «Olympians of Tajikistan», and Farhod Nematov, a participant in the 2012 Olympic Games in London, was elected Secretary General.

Based on the Charter, the task of the “Olympians of Tajikistan” is to unite the participants of the Olympic Games, represent them, meet their needs throughout their lives and develop Olympism.

The Olympians were awarded certificates from the International Olympic Committee and the NOC.
