One of the leaders of the terrorist group Palaev Kulmahmad Karimovich, born in 1974, resident of Vamar village, was detained during search operations.

During the inspection of the scene, located at an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level and 1 km from the state border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, 1 deadly weapon with 200 rounds, 1 Kalashnikov with 150 rounds, 1 anti-tank grenade launcher. with 3 bullets, 4 Kalashnikov assault rifles with 5 rounds and 135 rounds of ammunition, 5 hand grenades and 2 Makarov pistols with 50 rounds of ammunition were found and seized.

The perpetrators were repeatedly told to surrender to law enforcement . However, each time, they ignored these calls and did not give up their criminal activities and hid from the authorities.

We will recall that armed groups using weapons, ammunition and explosives attacked a convoy of officers of the Alpha anti-terrorist unit of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) in the center of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) on May 18. As a result, one officer was killed and 13 servicemen were seriously injured.
