Rights, Education and Employment of Disabled Individuals Analyzed and Discussed in Dushanbe

The rights of individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusive education, social adaptation, encouragement, inclusion in normal life in society, and other issues provided for by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities were discussed on April 19 by the Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population Shirin Amonzoda and Special Advisor on International Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the US State Department Sarah Minkara and the US Ambassador to Tajikistan John Mark Pommersheim.

The parties expressed their readiness to further cooperate in order to implement the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Detailed information was provided on the activities of the Specialized Professional Lyceum for the Disabled in Dushanbe and its branch in the Rushon district, where training is designed for the low-income segments of the population, people with disabilities, orphans, homeless people, and people whose parents are disabled.
