The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin has instructed the Ministry of Labor jointly with the Foreign Ministry to carry out negotiations with Tajikistan and assign an agreement on the pension provision cooperation, says a document posted on the official internet-portal of legal information on July 27.

At the same time, it is noted that it is allowed to make changes that are not of a fundamental nature to the attached draft agreement.

The draft agreement, in particular, notes that each party will assign retirement benefits based on insurance experience gained while working in the country.

The State Duma (Russia’s lower house of parliament) said on July 23 that pensions to labor migrants who return to their homelands will be paid from the contributions that the employer made for them over the period they have worked in Russia.
