Russian MoD officially claims Bakhmut takeover

Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday in a Telegram post that the city of Bakhmut has been overtaken, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"As a result of the offensive actions of the Wagner group, with the support of artillery and aviation of the Southern Group of Forces, the liberation of the city of Artemovsk [Bakhmut] was completed in the Artemovsk tactical direction," the ministry wrote. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to the country's troops and the Wagner group.
