Sadyr Japarov to visit India in July and take part in SCO summit

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with his counterpart from India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The heads of the Foreign Ministries discussed the agenda of Kyrgyzstan — India cooperation, outlined priority areas for effective cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats. The interest of both sides to further develop active cooperation in the political, trade, economic, military-technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres was noted.

The ministers paid special attention to preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to India to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO on July 3-4, 2023 in New Delhi.

Jeenbek Kulubaev outlined the main areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, medical tourism, and training of Indian students in Kyrgyzstan. He also stressed the importance of developing new areas of Kyrgyzstan — India cooperation in the field of interbank cooperation, implementation of grant projects, a credit line, opening full-fledged representative offices of Indian hospitals in Kyrgyzstan, and much more.

The parties also discussed issues of regional security, and also stressed the need for close interaction and information exchange in order to counter regional threats and challenges.
