Signing of new Cooperation Documents between Tajikistan and Belarus

The ceremony of signing of ten new bilateral documents covering important areas of cooperation between the two states followed the Tajik – Belarus summit talks.

In the presence of President Emomali Rahmon and President  Alexander Lukashenko, the following intergovernmental and interagency documents were signed:

The action plan to promote trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the Executive Body of the State Authority of Dushanbe and the Minsk City Council for 2023-2024. The document was signed by the Speaker of the Supreme Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali and the Mayor of Minsk Vladimir Kukharev.

The parties signed intergovernmental cooperation agreements in the youth policy and trade.

An agreement on cooperation in combating corruption was signed by the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of Tajikistan and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus.

The Committee of Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan and the Sports and Tourism Ministry of Belarus agreed to promote cooperation in the field of tourism. A cooperation roadmap for 2022-2026 was also approved.

Regulations on the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Belarus on military-technical cooperation were also approved.

The National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus signed documents on personnel training in the field of virology, microbiology, molecular biology, epidemiology, biotechnology, and pharmacology.

A cooperation agreement was also signed by the Export Agency under the Government of Tajikistan and the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of Belarus. The Spitamen District of Sughd and Mogilev Oblast of Belarus established sister city relations.
