Paris: The event dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Hafiz Sherozi will be held in June 2025 in Paris, announced the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, during a press conference.
According to National Information Agency of Tajikistan, the event will include an International Scientific Conference, a cultural program featuring the performance of Shashmaqom, an exhibition of manuscripts and paintings, as well as a concert program. The gathering aims to bring together scientists and scholars from around the world. Mukhriddin also recalled the International Scientific Conference dedicated to Mavlono Jaloliddin Balkhi, held on June 7, 2024, at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, highlighting its significance in honoring the Tajik-Persian thinker and poet.
Sirojiddin Mukhriddin noted that one of the memorable events of the past year was Tajikistan's inclusion in the UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List. On December 4, 2024, during the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Tajikistan's joint nominations 'The Ceremony of Mehrega' and 'The Art of Crafting and Playing Rubab' were recognized.
