Tajik, Afghan foreign ministers hold meeting through VTC to discuss coronavirus prevention issues

Tajik MFA information department just noted that the two had discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Hanif Atmar noted on his Twitter that during their first meeting through VTD, they had discussed issues related to further expansion of bilateral relationships, security cooperation, support for Afghanistan peace, trade and transit, as well as cooperation in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Afghan media reports, citing the country’s health ministry, say 125 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country as of April 28, bringing a total number of the disease cases to 1,828.
228 patients have reportedly recovered. Fifty-eight coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in Afghanistan as of April 28.
