On June 9, 2022 at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Tehran and in cooperation with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held the Tajik-Iranian Tourism Forum.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran and the Committee for Tourism Development of Tajikistan, heads of tourism companies of both countries, forums, tourism exhibitions and the media.
The forum began with the speech of the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Iran Nizomiddin Zohidi, where the current state and prospects of relations between Tajikistan and Iran in the light of the visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon to Tehran (May 29-30, 2022) ) was assessed. In this regard, it was noted that the signing of bilateral documents in various fields during this visit has created a favorable basis for strengthening cooperation in various fields, including in the field of tourism between Tajikistan and Iran.
During the forum, the management of the tourist companies "Orient Tour", "Rasul Tour", "Raftem" and "Tourist Services" of Tajikistan presented the tourism potential of the country. As part of the event, paintings and films about the tourist attractions of Tajikistan were shown, at the end of which agreements on cooperation between Tajik and Iranian companies were signed.
