Beijing: Inter-ministerial consultations between Tajikistan and China were held in Beijing on October 30-31, 2024. The discussions were led by Sodiq Imomi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Liu Bin, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. According to National Information Agency of Tajikistan, the event focused on the current state and future prospects of Tajik-Chinese cooperation across various sectors, including political, trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian areas. Additionally, the discussions covered collaborative efforts within international organizations such as the United Nations, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia. The delegations exchanged views on pressing issues on the international and regional agenda. They also reviewed the progress of implementing agreements that had been reached at the highest level, aiming to strengthen the partnershi p between the two countries.
