From November 18 through November 20, Dushanbe is hosting the seventh season of Tajikistan Fashion Week.

Fashion Week was organized at the initiative of T&Z Creative Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan, recognized fashion designers from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, France, and Morocco, as well as artists.

During the press conference, the head of T&Z Creative Association and the founder of Tajikistan Fashion Week Tohir Ibrohimov noted that this is the first time the founder of the Oriental Fashion Show Paris Hind Joudar is participating in Tajikistan Fashion Week with her designers.

According to Ibrohimov, Tajikistan Fashion Week will contribute to the formation and presentation of new projects by various fashion designers.

“This cultural event contributes to the establishment of cooperation between designers from different countries, and attraction of foreign guests and tourists,” he noted.

Twenty-two designers are participating in the event, which was organized within the framework of the Years of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts.

The first day of the event showcased collections by famous Iranian designer Obid Mahfuz and French designer Hind Joudar.

Three designers from Tajikistan and 12 select students studying design at the Technological University and the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design will also present their new collections.

Participating designers are expected to hold a meeting and discuss issues related to the development of cooperation.

Tajikistan Fashion Week is being held for the fourth year.
