The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan has stepped up measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. At airports, ground checkpoints, thermometry and checking the availability of vaccination certificates have been introduced. The Anti-Crisis Center for the Prevention of Coronavirus Penetration operates under the Ministry, reports the head of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety, Emergencies and Emergency Medical Assistance of the Ministry of Health Navruz Jafarov.

“In order to prevent the possible penetration of coronavirus infection, measures have been strengthened at the borders — at airports, ground checkpoints, all those arriving in Tajikistan will be subjected to thermometry and check for vaccination certificates,” Jafarov said.

According to him, this will affect, first of all, citizens arriving from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as from the United Arab Emirates and Turkiye.

“No restrictions on entry into the country have been introduced,” he emphasized.

According to him, at present, not a single case of coronavirus infection has been registered in Tajikistan.
