From November 28 through December 3, the 17th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO is being held in Rabat with the participation of the representatives of UNESCO Member States.
The session focused on the proposed nominations of the intangible cultural heritage of the Member States, and officially announced those nominations, which met all the requirements of the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.

The official inscription of «Sericulture and traditional production of silk for weaving» and «Telling tradition of Khoja Nasriddin Afandi Anecdotes» to the World Cultural Heritage List is an important achievement for the protection and popularization of the heritage of ancestors and present folk art, the rich and ancient culture of the Tajik people in the international arena.
