In 2022, the volume of trade between Tajikistan and other member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) reached the level of more than $2.871 billion, reports Sputnik news agency citing the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
Between Tajikistan and two SCO countries, including Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, the volume of trade over the specified period has decreased.
Also, the growth of trade with other countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Uzbekistan and India, is obvious.
The volume of trade between Tajikistan and other countries from the SCO list over the past period amounted to over $2.8 billion. Of this amount, the import of goods from the SCO countries accounted for about $2.1 billion.
Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Uzbekistan remain the main trading partners of Tajikistan in the SCO. The amount of trade with these countries since the beginning of 2022 has exceeded $2.770 billion.
Trade turnover between Tajikistan and other SCO countries during this period turned out to be negative, which means one thing: imports of products from these states to the republic significantly prevail over exports.
