A session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be held in Dushanbe on September 16, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The session will be attended by the Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, President Rahmon, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.
The officials will exchange views on international and regional security and the main results of the organization’s activities in the intersessional period, as well as hear information on priority areas of activity during the upcoming chairmanship of the CSTO by the Republic of Armenia.
Following the session, they will adopt a Declaration of the CSTO Collective Security Council and about 15 decisions.
The Dushanbe summit will complete the cycle of activities of the CSTO statutory bodies within the framework of Tajikistan’s chairmanship.
