From 10 to 13 March 2021 in Tashkent at the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) chaired by the Republic of Tajikistan was held a regular meeting of the National Coordinating Council (NCC).
The agenda of the SCO SCO meeting included about 50 issues related to the current activities of the SCO. The delegations reviewed the preparations for the SCO Summit in Dushanbe on September 16-17, based on the draft agenda and the list of documents to be signed in the framework of the SCO Summit. The National Coordinators approved the SCO Action Plan for 2021, which consists of 152 items. Most of the activities of this Plan are planned in the framework of Tajikistan's presidency in the SCO.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the new round of rotation of the permanent bodies of the Organization, the initiative of the Tajik side on the establishment of the SCO Counter-Narcotics Center in Dushanbe and the draft cooperation documents between the SCO and international organizations.
The opening ceremony of the SCO SCO was watched by schoolchildren-participants of the interactive educational game "Model SCO" from the SCO Secretariat in Beijing.
The SCO provides general coordination of the SCO's activities.
The Tajik presidency is under the motto "20 years of the SCO: cooperation for stability and prosperity."
