A special attention was reportedly given to issues related to labor migration under the coronavirus pandemic and resumption of regular air traffic between the two countries.

Rustam Emomali, in particular, noted that the legal foundation of the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia consists of nearly 300 interstate and interagency agreements and “the quality of implementation of them requires significant improvements.”

The sides reported outlined the sectors like mining, processing industry, agriculture, light and food industries as areas that could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.

It was noted that the two-way trade between Tajikistan and Russia has valued at 720 million U.S> dollars over the first eight months of this year, the Majlisi Milli press center said.
