The rules of stay in Kazakhstan have been changed for Kyrgyzstanis. The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration reported.

According to the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Almaty, the effect of paragraph 16 for citizens of Kyrgyzstan is suspended until September 1, 2024.

«Previously, if upon entry it was found out that an immigrant had exceeded the permitted period of stay, a decision was made to deny entry. Now, if, upon entering Kazakhstan, it is found out that a citizen of Kyrgyzstan had been in the Republic of Kazakhstan for more than 90 days during each 180-day period, he or she still will be allowed to enter Kazakhstan,» the ministry said.

The resolution will come into force on October 9.

At least 2,338 people live in social residential institutions in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration provided such data.
