Two more Azerbaijani judokas won European championship titles

Azerbaijan's national team has added a second gold medal to its assets on the second day of the competition in the European Judo Championships Juniors in Tallinn, Estonia, APA reports. The first medal was won by Vusal Galandarzade. Competing in the 73 kg weight category, V. Galandarzade defeated Dion Sharapolli from Kosovo in the 1/16 finals. He then won against Emre Karaduman from Trkiye. Galandarzade advanced to the semifinals by eliminating Peter Jean in the quarterfinals. He also defeated his next opponent, Mate Beruashvili from Georgia. Galandarzade defeated his Bulgarian opponent Dimitar Gospodinov in the final and climbed to the top of the podium. The second medal was won by Suleyman Shukurov. Suleyman Shukurov (81 kg) faced Georgian wrestler Aleksandre Loladze in the final. Shukurov emerged victorious, winning the competition. Note that yesterday, Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Fidan Alizade (57 kg) secured gold medals at the tournament. Nizami Imranov (60 kg) earned a silver medal.
