Uzbekistan’s PM Aripov Will Visit Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, Issues relating to preparation for the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov to Tajikistan and the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission, which is scheduled for late September this year in Dushanbe, were discussed yesterday during the meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda with the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan Akmalzhon Ortikov.
The meeting also focused on the current state and prospects of trade and economic relations between the countries, in particular, the parties exchanged views on the increase in foreign trade turnover, the creation of joint industrial enterprises, including territory of free economic zones of Tajikistan.
It was noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the heads of the two states, strategic cooperation is developing dynamically, contacts at various levels have significantly intensified.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to comprehensively expand and effectively use bilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest
