A delegation led by Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev, including the leadership of Aktau and Kuryk ports paid a visit to Azerbaijan on Monday. The Kazakh minister visited a number of transport infrastructure facilities of Azerbaijan, including the Baku Shipyard and the international trade port and port stations as well as the port of Hovsan and the Main Alat Station. Marat Karabayev also visited Absheron Logistics Center and Baku Railway Station to familiarize himself with the passenger carriages produced by the Swiss Stadler company. Director General of the Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC Taleh Ziyadov and Kazakh Minister Marat Karabayev held a detailed discussion on issues of strengthening transit cargo transportation. It was noted that the volume of cargo transportation from the ports of Kazakhstan passing through Baku Port increased by 15 percent in the first seven months of 2023.
