ASTANA: The volume of oil transportation to oil refineries in Kazakhstan through the main oil pipeline system of KazTransOil amounted to 4.327 million tons of oil, Trend reports. According to KazTransOil's data, compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of oil transportation increased by 27,000 tons. Thus, 1.414 million tons were supplied to the Atyrau oil refinery, 1.36 million tons were supplied to PetroKazakhstan Oil Products, 1.458 million tons were supplied to Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, and 95,000 tons were supplied to CASPI BITUM. Meanwhile, KazTransOil transported 11.379 million tons of oil separately through its main oil pipeline system from January through March 2024. Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of oil transportation increased by 1.03 million tons. Furthermore, the volume of oil transportation separately through the main oil pipeline system of Kazakhstan's KazTransOil amounted to 44.188 million tons of oil, which is 3.532 million tons more than in 2022. TASHKENT: Uzbekistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) adopted a new partnership strategy in small and medium business, women's entrepreneurship, alternative energy, digital technologies, and others, Trend reports. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in a meeting with a delegation of the EBRD headed by its President Odile Renaud-Basso discussed this strategy and underlined Uzbekistan and the EBRD's highest degree of relations, as well as their close and fruitful work in recent years. Furthermore, it was noted that, the Bank is working to prepare state-owned firms for privatization, has completed key deals in the banking and financial sectors, and is upgrading the regulatory framework in green energy, transportation infrastructure, ecology, and other critical areas. The president of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of the preparation and implementation of new projects in the fields of water supply, energy, road infrastructure, and the and the development of green cit ies. The sides also discussed the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Foreign Investors Council. As of February 29, the current loan portfolio of the EBRD projects in Uzbekistan has totaled 2.4 billion euros. BAKU: Azerbaijan makes an important contribution to building intercultural dialogue, ISESCO's Director General Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik said during the VI World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue, Trend reports. The forum is scheduled to include ten-panel discussions and four plenary sessions. ASHGABAT: Turkmenistan intends to develop economic cooperation with Azerbaijan and Arab countries, Trend reports, referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, this intention was expressed during the participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Babanyyaz Yalakov at the 3rd Session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with the Countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the forum, the Turkmen side stressed the importance of developing trade and economic partnership between the Arab countries, Azerbaijan, and the Central Asian states. BAKU: A memorandum of cooperation on the integration of energy systems of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan was signed in Tashkent, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on X, Trend reports. 'Within the framework of a business trip to Uzbekistan, a 'Memorandum of Cooperation on the Integration of Energy Systems of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan' was signed at a trilateral meeting of the economy and energy ministers of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan,' the minister noted.
