The meeting was held on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China, which is an important event in the history of relations between the two friendly countries.

The sides noted that China was one of the first countries to recognize the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Tajikistan on January 4, 1992, which allowed to establish good-neighborly relations, friendship and multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields as soon as possible. .

They noted with satisfaction that for three decades the relations between the two friendly countries have come a long way, full of important events and, thanks to joint efforts, have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The sides also discussed issues of development of bilateral relations and stressed the need to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and China in various fields. Particular attention was paid to the further expansion and strengthening of trade and economic, investment and scientific and technical ties, cooperation in industry, energy, culture and education. An exchange of views also took place on issues related to the expansion of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and China in the framework of international and regional organizations and the security situation in the region.
