Bayraktar Akinci drone operators from Kyrgyzstan have been trained in Turkey. Baykar company announced on Twitter.
The eighth graduation ceremony of Bayraktar Akinci UCAV reportedly took place.
«Congratulations to all the Turkish, Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz trainees who successfully graduated and will serve their nation with Bayraktar Akinci,» Baykar said in the statement.
Baykar is a Turkish aircraft manufacturing company founded in 1984 by an entrepreneur Özdemir Bayraktar. Since 2000 it started work in the field of aircraft engineering, in particular in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
In autumn 2022, the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev posted a photo next to the drone Bayraktar Akinci on his Facebook page. He signed the photo: «Akinci is ours. Thanks to the brotherly people».
Earlier, Turkish media reported that the authorities of Kyrgyzstan signed a contract with the Turkish defense corporation ASELSAN for the supply of anti-drone systems.
