Delta State Ministry Of Youth Development Urges Youths To Be Creative And Positive-Minded

In a bid to empower and inspire the youth, Ms. Ngozi Mogbolu, the Permanent Secretary (PS) in the Delta State Ministry of Youth Development, has emphasised the importance of creativity, determination, and positive mindsets among young people.

Ms. Mogbolu made the emphasis during a meeting held in her office, with the executive members of the Students Union Government (SUG) from Delta State University, Abraka.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Mogbolu highlighted the diverse range of personalities within the state’s youth population, some exhibiting positive qualities while others veering toward negative inclinations. Expressing her satisfaction with the interaction, she commended the student leaders for their clear vision and exemplary leadership.

“You are a treasure, and I urge you to involve as many youths as possible in order to positively influence them,” she added while assuring the ministry’s support whenever necessary.

In response, Comrade Caleb Okupa, the President of the SUG, conveyed his gratitude to the PS for granting them an audience. He emphasized that the purpose of their visit was to explore opportunities for collaboration between the students’ union and the ministry in order to reorient students across the state.

Comrade Okupa also unveiled an ambitious project known as the “DELSU Students Development Project 1,” which aims to establish a cutting-edge digital terminal to shield students from adverse weather conditions while providing a conducive space for studying. Additionally, the terminal will serve as a bus stop and offer enhanced technological resources.

The student leader emphasised that the project would cater to all faculties on campus and represent a lasting legacy for any sponsor involved.
