Di Lorenzo Set To Renew Contract With Napoli

Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo is reportedly just a step away from agreeing a new long-term contract with the club.

The 29-year-old played a crucial role in the Partenopei’s historic Scudetto success last season, seeing over 3200 minutes of action across 37 Serie A matches. In that time, he scored three goals and provided four assists.

Whilst some changes have occurred at Napoli in recent weeks, president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want a total overhaul, so is working on new contracts for a handful of players.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, Napoli have started to draw up the terms of a new contract for Di Lorenzo, which could be agreed during a meeting with his agent Mario Giuffredi next week.

The new deal will last until 2027 or 2028 and will see him earn over €3m net per season, a raise compared to the €2.4m net he currently earns.
