On 8 December 2021, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim received the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Afghanistan, Deputy Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) Mette Knudsen, who is on a working visit in our country to participate at the 11th meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries.
During the meeting, the parties shared views on the latest developments in Afghanistan, their impact on the region, the humanitarian situation in this country and the need to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
