On October 1, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin took part in the General Debates of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in Dushanbe. In New York, he met with UN Under-Secretary-General, Head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov.
During the meeting, along with topical global issues, such as the fight against terrorism and extremism, the situation in the region, in particular the recent events in Afghanistan were discussed.
The parties also agreed to continue cooperation in the framework of the "Dushanbe Process in the fight against terrorism and its financing."
