On December 18, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin during his official visit met with the Speaker of Lok Sabha - the Lower House of the Parliament of the Republic of India Om Birla.
Praising the current state of inter-parliamentary relations, Birla stressed the need for further expansion, strengthening the legal framework, activation of the inter-parliamentary friendship group and exchange of official delegations to discuss priority issues of mutual interest and mutual trust between the two friendly countries.
During the conversation, the Foreign Minister stressed the importance of further developing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries in order to promote the expansion of political, economic, trade, medical cooperation, increase the number of educational scholarships and exchange experiences.
The sides also exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral relations in the framework of cooperation instruments, regional and international organizations and organizations and other issues of mutual interest.
