From November 17 through November 19 in Antalya, Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda and a number of ministry’s employees attended the Digital Health Conference and Exhibition.
Abdullozoda noted that one of the priorities of health care reform is to ensure access to necessary medical services through the development of digital health and the national health information and social protection system.
He added that with the support of the government and within the framework of the European Union Technical Assistance Project, the Ministry of Health has created a Unified Health Management Information System DHIS2, which allows for the tracking of statistical data on the health status of the population and the activities of medical institutions.
“As part of the implementation of the Electronic Government Concept in Tajikistan, an information program is being actively implemented on the appointment and payment of social benefits to low-income families and citizens through an electronic program of targeted social assistance,” said Abdullozoda.
According to him, a Regional Coordination Center has been established in order to expand e-services in the field of social protection and to coordinate the actions of local authorities in the provision of social assistance.
He stressed that the Ministry of Health is interested in the opportunity to study the experience of Turkey in the field of information technology.
As part of his working trip, Abdullozoda also met with his Turkish counterpart Fahrettin Koca.
The officials exchanged views on developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
