Participation of the Tajik delegation in the annual meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries

On September 23, 2021 in New York on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan took part and addressed the annual meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC).

In his speech, the High Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan stressed the importance of implementing the Vienna Program of Action (VPoA), calling it a necessary condition for the integration of LLDC countries into the global economy and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The measures taken by our side to address the socio-economic consequences of the integration of COVID-19 were among the other topics reflected in the speech of our representative.

The head of the Tajik delegation also addressed the issues of energy, water resources and transport, calling them as priorities of Tajikistan and called on member states of the LLDC Group to use the opportunities of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" to promote. make full use of the timely implementation of HRU-6.
