Russia bans supplies of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan

Rosselkhoznadzor banned the supply of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan. Restrictions came into force on April 21.

As the agency's website says, Rosselkhoznadzor informed the Veterinary Service of the Kyrgyz Republic about the need to suspend the supply of dairy products to the Russian Federation.

This decision was made following the results of the inspection from April 10 to April 16.

Specialists checked both production facilities, farms and milk collection points.

As a result of the inspection, the inefficiency of the work of the competent authority of the republic in ensuring and confirming the quality and safety of dairy products exported to Russia was proved.

There is no epizootic control and monitoring of the quality and safety of livestock products at the enterprises. The work plan does not include testing for most of the indicators that are provided for in the Russian Federation and the EAEU. It is impossible to find out the origin of raw materials at enterprises, milk is used without documents, and products are stored without marking.

Rosselkhoznadzor said that the resumption of supplies of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan was possible only after a second check, which will confirm elimination of all violations.

It should be noted that earlier Rosselkhoznadzor banned import of halal sausage of Toiboss trademark from Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation, stating that pig DNA was found in it. Before that, restrictions were also imposed on fish supplied from the country.
