Participation in an extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council

Today, October 28, 2022, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, took part in an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in a videoconference format.

The session was also attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.

The heads of the CSTO member states heard the report of the Secretary General of the Organization on the results of the work of the CSTO Mission in the Republic of Armenia from September 15 to 24, 2022.

During the session, the importance of strengthening political and diplomatic measures to normalize the situation and improve security in the Caucasus region of collective security, including on the basis of tripartite statements by the heads of state of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, was emphasized.

In his speech, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, reaffirming the determination of Tajikistan to continue to follow its allied obligations within the CSTO, noted the need to take effective measures within the CSTO to further develop the crisis response system.

Following the session, the heads of state instructed the Council of Foreign Ministers to continue working on a set of measures to assist the CSTO in stabilizing the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Telegram of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi, which reads:

“Your Excellency,

In connection with the brutal attack on Shahcheragh shrine in Shiraz, which resulted in the death of civilians and their injuries, I express my deepest condolences to you and all the families and friends of the victims, with the wishes of patience and perseverance.

While strongly condemning this terrorist act, we emphasize the need for a consistent strengthening of the joint merciless struggle against all manifestations of terrorism and extremism.

I ask the Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for the dead, and a speedy full recovery for the injured.”

Traffic accident

On October 28, 2022, at about 09:00, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz car,born in 1994, a resident of the Pyanj district, while moving on the territory of the Mekhvari rural jamoat of the specified district, lost control of the vehicle and hit on the cyclist a man, born in 1952, a local resident.

As a result, the cyclist, having received serious bodily injuries, died on the way to the hospital.
An investigation is underway on this fact.

Participation of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan at the 90th meeting of the General Assembly of Interpol in Delhi

On October 18-21, 2022, a working group led by the head of the National Central Bureau “Interpol” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, militia colonel Nazriev Shakhriyor Dzhurabekovich traveled to the city of Delhi, Republic of India, to participate in the 90th meeting of the Interpol General Assembly.

On October 18, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, spoke at the opening of the meeting and spoke about the results of the work of Interpol, the cooperation of the Indian authorities and the importance of this organization.

Further, the President of the International Criminal Police Organization – Interpol, Mr. Ahmad Nasir Al-Raisi, approved the agenda of the meeting.

According to the agenda of the meeting, the report of the Secretary General of Interpol, Mr. Jürgen Stock, was heard on strengthening the capabilities of the international police in the direction of international search, combating cybercrime, as well as preventing drug trafficking, human trafficking and other issues directly related to the work of this organization .
On October 19, according to the agenda of the meeting, proposals were first heard to intensify the work of Interpol in the field of economic crimes and the fight against corruption, representatives of the authorized structure of Interpol spoke on these topics.

On October 20, at a meeting with the participation of representatives of other international organizations, the issue of future strategic cooperation in the interests of global security was discussed.
Then, according to the agenda, reports and proposals of organizations and individual states in the direction of preventing and combating cybercrime were presented.
Also, the Secretary General of Interpol, Jürgen Stock, presented brief information on the development and progress of Interpol until 2030.
On October 21, the elections of the vice-president of Interpol and members of the executive committee of Interpol took place.
During this meeting, it was decided to hold the 91st meeting of the General Assembly of Interpol in the city of Geneva.
It should be noted that on the sidelines of this meeting, the head of the Interpol Central National Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, militia colonel Nazriev Shakhriyor Dzhurabekovich held bilateral meetings in order to expand cooperation with the Interpol member states – the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Turkey.
